This led to behaviours that were violent, abusive, and manipulative as he sought his next chaotic ‘fix’. Amidst this darkness, however, a beacon of hope emerged in the form of adults who refused to give up on him. Initially, school was not a refuge; it felt like another place where he didn’t belong. Yet, it became a space for forging meaningful connections, and those relationships ultimately helped turn his life around. He believes that every child is just one caring, trusted adult away from success, a conviction that drives his work.
