Effectively a bunch of big publishers preyed on financially struggling studios in the wake of the pandemic and bought them without thinking long term.

It's wild how aggressively and widespread all of the big 2021 studio acquisition boom stuff is getting undone.
These studios are all some of the more artistic ones that were never making gangbusters money.
I really hope we get to keep seeing artistic games made.
