10 years ago while at jazz school I ran into a frequent problem - the music building didn't have enough practice rooms!

This was the seed that inspired recent work, focusing on telling thematic short stories on solo saxophone.

Don't let AI Viceroy @DavidSacks tell you changing the law to legalize taking artists’ work without consent is innovation. It’s a subsidy for theft. @human_artistry

I’m about to give evidence in Parliament on AI & copyright. I’ll say: - there’s no excuse for ai companies not to pay for training data; they mostly don’t simply because a critical mass of ai companies decided not to - suggestions that licensing is not required under the law are wildly misleading: openai lost in court in germany, and in the US the judge in a case vs meta said many instances of training are unlikely to be fair use - the primary reason ai companies hide their training data is fear of getting sued - governments should make ai companies reveal their training data so that people can defend their rights You can watch here: parliamentlive.tv/event/inde…

Inspired by an iguana I met in the Caribbean and my love for calypso music... My new song "Iguana Crossing" - recorded live on television 1 month before I moved to Los Angeles - is out wherever you listen to music.
