It was a pleasure today to receive, on a courtesy visit, the Team Lead, Hon. Mohammed Kabir Usman, and the Data Verification Team from the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) at Government House, Asaba. The team is in the state to ensure that the principles of equity, fairness and fiscal balance in the allocation of national resources among the states of the Federation are sustained. I assured the team of our administration’s commitment to prudence, accountability and the transparent management of public resources. I also reaffirmed our readiness to provide all necessary support and information required for the successful conduct of the exercise.

In fulfilment of the fourth pillar of our MORE Agenda, today I held an emergency peace parley with leaders of the three ethnic nationalities Urhobo, Ijaw and Itsekiri in Warri Federal Constituency at Government House, Asaba. Going forward, they assured Deltans of lasting peace and promised to continue their deliberations on Thursday this week. At the meeting, I also commended the leaders of the three ethnic nationalities for their cooperation.
