If Iran wins, it's the end of five eras. 1991-2026: the unipolar era 1974-2026: the petrodollar era 1945-2026: the postwar era 1776-2026: the union era 1492-2026: the Western era Specifically, the end of the petrodollar (1974) would also be the end of the unipolar moment (1991) and the postwar order (1945). It would mark the moment when Eurasian powers were once again dominant over Western powers (1492). Finally, a rapid crash in the dollar's purchasing power coupled with military defeat could well break apart the American union (1776). Few seem to viscerally understand just how dependent America is on money printing. But the end of the petrodollar is the end of Keynesianism as we know it. And if there's a sudden cost-of-living spike on top of pre-existing levels of political polarization, which are already near Civil War levels...we could see the scenarios that Dalio, the Fourth Turning, and Turchin have described.

💥Netanyahu began shrieking when the prosecutor confronted him with shifts in his version of events in question. Netanyahu screamed: "You've done something never before done to any public figure, you used spyware for your campaign to oust a prime minister! The ingenuousness, as if you didn't set out to catch. You violated every law!" Chief Judge Rivka Friedman-Feldman asked to calm down, but he just slammed his fist down on the table and yelled: "I'm allowed to speak!". The judge said, "Mr. Netanyahu answered the question, let's move on," but Netanyahu kept screaming: "You'll spend all your days in court! What public figure did you do this to!? It's a disgrace! Everyone says this is a police state! Stasi! A political persecution!"
💥Netanyahu lost it in court today, the last day of cross examination. Whether Trump keeps pushing for it or not, Netanyahu's pardon request is moot. It was based on the PM's inability to give testimony while running a country [sic] but there's no longer any need for him in court

“Everybody hates Israel," US President Donald Trump reportedly said to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on a recent phone call. A new @PewResearch survey seems to confirm this. Support for Israel is collapsing, including in countries whose governments support Israel: US, Germany, France, Italy and others. @AliAbunimah breaks it down.

How will you go on with your day when you hear about a father in Gaza, trapped beneath the rubble, begging rescuers not to save him? Not because he had lost hope in life, but because he could hear the final breaths of his daughters beneath the debris. Their tiny hands were still holding his in the darkness, as if calling for him one last time. He was the father who had always been their safe haven, yet this time he was powerless to pull them from the dust and shattered concrete. Only his head was visible above the ruins. He looked into the eyes of the rescuers with a gaze exhausted by fear and helplessness and said: "Leave me... my daughters are here... I do not want to come out alone." What heart can endure such a scene? What language can possibly describe the pain of a father who realizes he is losing his daughters one by one, while holding their hands until they grow cold, unable to offer rescue, comfort, or even one final embrace? How will your day continue after hearing this story? How will you sit peacefully at your table, or smile at something trivial, knowing that somewhere there is a father whose last wish was not to survive alone? And the question that continues to haunt the conscience of humanity remains: How much pain must the world witness before it hears the cry of a single father in Gaza? #SaveHumanity #ChildrenOfWar #HumanConscience #Gaza

🚨MAJOR BREAKING 🚨 Defence sources have confirmed a Russian warship fired a warning shot at a vessel in the English Channel. It’s believed to be the first confirmed warning shot fired by a Russian warship in the Channel. The vessel is reported to be the Admiral Grigorovich that opened fire. The warship has been a regular through the Channel, protecting sanctioned Russian tankers. The incident comes just days after Royal Marine Commandos seized the Smyrtos, a Russian tanker believed to be part of Vladimir Putin’s shadow fleet transporting sanctioned oil illegally. A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: “We are investigating reports of an incident in the Channel.” Its understood reports were received from a UK-registered yacht alleging that the Russian Navy vessel fired warning shots nearby at a distance of about 500 yards. The incident is understood to have taken place about 20 nautical miles south of the Isle of Wight, outside UK territorial waters. No injuries or damage have been reported by the yacht, which is continuing its journey. HMS Mersey was monitoring the Russian vessel at the time. A seaboat from HMS Tyne has visited the yacht to gather details and check that they are safe. Defence sources are viewing this as an isolated incident and not linked to the UK’s interception of SMYRTOS. More to follow from @RozinaSabur

Things could escalate quickly in this arena too. Russian corvette Grigorovich possibly (not confirmed) fired warning shots at a yacht in the English channel, area where the UK seized a Russian Oil Tanker few days ago.
[Unconfirmed] Russian frigate Grigorovich has fired warning shots at a British yacht in the channel. British and French ships are mobilising in response. Incident comes after the Royal Navy boarded Shadow Fleet tanker SMYRTOS (IMO: 9389100) which has been sanctioned by HM Treasury since 15 Oct 2025 under 'The Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019'.

Amnesty International and civil liberties campaigners on Monday criticized a court ruling upholding the UK government’s decision to ban Palestine Action, arguing that the move represents an alarming expansion of counter-terrorism powers and threatens the right to protest. The UK Court of Appeal ruled Monday that the proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organization was lawful, overturning a previous High Court ruling that found the ban breached the right to protest. BREAKING: The Court of Appeal has backed the government's appeal against the High Court and reinstated the proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation. As I've been noting for some time, this was always going to happen. The police ignored the High Court's ruling of proscription as unlawful and continued arresting people as terrorists for holding placards stating: "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action." On Friday, Judge Johnson upgraded the criminal damage convictions of the Filton Four to terrorism offences in his sentencing, even though at the time of sentencing Palestine Action was not, in the eyes of the courts, considered a terrorist organisation. It was as though the High Court decision never happened. We have been subjected to legal threatre to make it look as if the judiciary have carefully weighed our most cherished and basic rights against the interests of the British state in continuing its complicity in the Gaza genocide. This has all been a stitch-up to keep the focus on the faux-illegality of opposing a genocide rather than the very real illegality of the British state colluding in atrocities that have killed many tens of thousands – and more likely, hundreds of thousands – of civilians in Gaza. Anyone who has supported this dangerous farce should hang their heads in shame.

UPDATE - Israel’s Supreme Court Rejects Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s Appeal The rejection of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s appeal and his continued detention without charge represent a profound moral and legal failure. Rather than upholding the fundamental principles of the rule of law and due process, the court has endorsed the indefinite detention of a hospital director who remains in solitary confinement while suffering from medical conditions that are not receiving appropriate treatment. The message sent by this decision is unmistakable: a medical professional can be deprived of his liberty indefinitely without being charged and without the authorities presenting evidence against him in open court. Dr. Abu Safiya’s case is not an isolated one. It illustrates how judicial review proceedings for Palestinian detainees from Gaza have, in practice, become little more than a procedural formality. Every month, hundreds of detention review hearings take place, yet to the best of our knowledge they have not resulted in the meaningful reconsideration or revocation of detention orders—even in cases involving doctors and other medical personnel. We call for the immediate release of Dr. Abu Safiya and all other doctors who continue to be held without charge or trial.

Israeli Supreme Court rejected, once again, an appeal against Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s detention According to his lawyer, the Israeli Supreme Court has ruled that Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya will remain imprisoned under the “Unlawful Combatant” law, rejecting an appeal against his detention despite no charges being brought against him. The decision allows the continued detention of Dr. Abu Safiya without charge, in a manner that contradicts international law and the Geneva Conventions, which afford special protection to medical personnel during armed conflicts. Dr. Abu Safiya remains held in solitary confinement at Nafha Prison under harsh conditions, while being denied necessary medical care and other basic rights. #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya

CIA chief and cabinet hawks spark internal White House rift over Iran peace deal —— CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are actively pushing back against US President Donald Trump over a proposed peace agreement with Iran. According to a report by US-Israeli propaganda outlet Axios on Tuesday, the intelligence agency and cabinet hawks expressed serious doubts regarding Tehran’s willingness to make nuclear concessions. In contrast, Vice President JD Vance alongside US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have advocated for the deal, triggering a high-level rift within the administration. The divide allegedly worsened during recent White House meetings where Trump and his advisers reviewed classified intelligence on how Iranian officials discuss the deal internally. Ratcliffe and Rubio argued that intercepted communications indicate Iran's internal discourse is inconsistent with its assurances to mediators, raising doubts about whether the Iran will dismantle strategic nuclear infrastructure. Trump, who has frequently broken with his intelligence apparatus on foreign policy, is reportedly weighing the warnings against his desire for a grand regional breakthrough. Despite the internal rebellion from the security cabinet, a White House official maintained that the agreement satisfies all of Washington’s key demands. The administration source stressed that the deal forces Iran to surrender its highly enriched uranium and ensures it can never possess a nuclear weapon or hold the West Asia energy supply hostage. The official added that while Trump listens to all competing opinions, he remains the final decision-maker on sealing the accord.
