Elon Musk becomes world's first trillionaire after SpaceX IPO
According to calculations based on company filings and Forbes estimates, Musk's net worth is expected to cross $1.1 trillion when SpaceX begins trading publicly.
Before the IPO, Musk was already the world's richest person with a fortune of around $971 billion, while the second-richest person, Alphabet co-founder Larry Page, had around $304 billion.
Musk's wealth is now estimated to be larger than Taiwan's economy, which is valued at about $976.7 billion. His fortune is also around one-fourth of India's GDP.
The biggest boost came from SpaceX's $75 billion IPO, reportedly the largest IPO in history. Musk's SpaceX stake alone is estimated to be worth around $866 billion, making it the biggest source of his wealth.
Along with Tesla and his other companies, Musk's fortune is expected to surpass the trillion-dollar mark, creating a wealth level never achieved by an individual before!
