The Kennedy Center was named after my uncle, President John F Kennedy. It was named in his honor. He was a man who was interested in the arts, interested in culture, interested in education, language, history. He brought the arts into the White House, and he and my Aunt Jackie amplified the arts, celebrated the arts, stood up for the arts and artists. It is beyond comprehension that this sitting president has sought to rename this great memorial dedicated to President Kennedy. It is beyond wild that he would think adding his name in front of President Kennedy’s name is acceptable. It is not. Next thing perhaps he will want to rename JFK Airport, rename the Lincoln Memorial, the Trump Lincoln Memorial. The Trump Jefferson Memorial. The Trump Smithsonian. The list goes on. Trump's comment about Rob Reiner today really underscores that he's a narcissist. Someone this narcissistic can't fight for you; if you believe otherwise, you're a mark. You are just a pawn in his need for aggrandizement. Ten years after he descended on his golden escalator, he hasn't brought manufacturing back. In fact, manufacturing jobs contracted this year. His biggest accomplishment this term — the Big Beautiful Bill — was just more tax cuts for the rich and slashing government spending for the working class. His political appointments have thus far been nothing more than concessions to wealthy donors who supported his campaign. Many of these people are building the AGI robots that will replace you in ten years. If you dare to question him, he'll toss you aside like Marjorie Taylor Greene, no matter how much you stood by him in the past. He cares about nothing but himself. The most you'll get is a wildly racist remark on Truth Social, which makes you feel like he's fighting for you, but you are, again, meaningless to him. He feels nothing and believes in nothing except his own aggrandizement. His Saddam Hussein ballroom means more to him than policies that are supposed to help you.
