I had the joy of helping a group of 6–8-year-olds build their first websites on Canva!
Watching them move pixels and bring their ideas to life reminded me of why I love doing this.
Creativity is not limited by age! 💛

Ever opened an email and thought… “This design could do so much more”? 👀
That happened to me recently.
@armengage sent out a mail to announce her new office in Ibadan.
In my redesign, I shaped the map of #Ibadan into a piece of land, placed notable landmarks like #Cocoa#House on it, and added a location pin to mark the company’s new spot.
Suddenly, the design wasn’t just “an announcement”. It became a story of place, pride, and presence.
That’s the heart of design. It’s not about throwing #visuals together, it’s about putting thought, story, and heart into every element.
Sometimes the difference between a design that’s “seen” and a #design that’s felt is simply the heart you put into it. ❤️
Led a KSS session on Canva for non-designers—quick tips on alignment, font pairing & hierarchy.
We even built a full design in under 10 mins!
Design is my job, but teaching it? My first love.
Canva’s deeper than most think. 😉

Ever seen a lonely word sitting at the top of a page or column?
That’s a widow — and it ruins clean layouts.
Typography isn’t just fonts. It’s about flow, rhythm, and respect for the reader’s eye.
Now I never ignore widows. You shouldn't either.

Some projects stay hidden, not because they aren’t good but we just move on too fast.
In 2022, I helped an author sum up life from baby to 22 in one honest, timeless cover.
Just found it in my archive. It deserves the light.

There’s something satisfying about designing #emails that don’t just get opened, but read.
To get to that point, every piece has to work together.
A well-designed email isn’t just about aesthetics.
It’s about trust, clarity, and conversion.
Dear Young Designers,
When I started my design journey about 6 years ago, a senior designer, Adewale Balogun, gave me a piece of advice I’ll never forget:
That’s why I took the last class by Chukwu Adaeze Victoria, and it was an eye-opener.
Beyond the knowledge gained, I’m especially grateful for the team I worked with during the group assignment. The collaboration, conversations, and community made it all worthwhile.
Oh, and my team (The Hyena Group) won the ₦50K branding challenge! 📷 Woooow!
PS: What learning resources would you recommend for a growing designer?
Drop them in the comments; someone out there will thank you for it.
