Know your NHS Services 👇 Our paramedics are trained to offer acute, urgent and home-based care for those who are seriously frail or housebound. You will sometimes be seen by a paramedic instead of a GP or nurse.

You don’t always need to see a GP for professional healthcare advice and prescription medication. Sometimes, your local pharmacy can provide quicker, quality care without the need for an appointment. If you have a minor complaint, think Pharmacy First.

It’s Transverse Myelitis awareness day, so let’s talk about this rare neurological condition. Symptoms typically develop over several weeks and can include sensory changes, motor weakness and lower back pain. Symptoms can be managed with supportive therapies and acute treatments.

Stroke symptoms can also be a sign of less serious conditions, but not always. A good test to assess if you or somebody you’re with is having a stroke is to BE FAST: Balance, Eyes, Face, Arms, Speech, and Time to call 999. Even if you’re unsure, it is always better to get help.

Anaphylaxis is a serious and often sudden allergic reaction, when the body’s immune system wrongly identifies a food or substance as a threat. In an emergency, administer adrenaline if prescribed, lie flat with your legs raised, and contact 999 immediately.

You have a right to receive services and collect medicines that have been prescribed to you from any pharmacy you choose. This choice should not be influenced or limited by apps, webpages, emails or letters you receive in the post, or by any doctor or pharmacist.
No deserves to fall victim to domestic abuse. If you feel unsafe or are living in a situation which threatens your physical or mental health, there are supports out there. You can contact us or a local service to talk things through. Remember, you are not alone.

The Pharmacy First scheme makes it easier and quicker to access care without needing to wait for a GP appointment. Highly trained pharmacists can assess and treat a range of minor illnesses, offering expert advice and, where appropriate, medication to help you feel better faster.

There are a several ways you can order your repeat prescriptions from us. The easiest, most efficient way is via the NHS App, but we understand that apps aren't for everyone. Other options include askmyGP, the physical prescription box in surgery, SystmOnline or Patient Partner.
