1,5 years passed so fast! We had a blast connecting young neuroscientists from all over the world with research institutions in the Ruhr Area. Thanks to everyone who participated so far & to @dfg_public, @DAAD_Germany & @ResearchGermany for funding! There's so much more to come🤗
Neuroscientists, get out your cameras! 📸🧠The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies @FENSorg just opened its Neuroscience Photo Contest 2023. Send in your pic of any aspect of neuroscience, including research or clinical practice, by 30 November.

HUGE thank yous to Profs Sigrid Elsenbruch, Harald Engler, and Sven Benson for the critical discussions and scientific support! I'm sure this will be nothing short of a fruitful collaborative effort 🙌 Thank you to @thinkglobal_rub 's travel grant for making this possible 🤓
Today is day 2️⃣ of our big group meeting where, every 2 months, we meet with other lab groups of @MedEssen, @thinkglobal_rub etc. and present our work to each other! ✨
This is our first in-person meeting in a while and we're all excited to discuss science in the same room 😁
This week we welcome Dr. Bushra Daille (@BDalile) to our lab for her first of two stays! 🤩

🤗A warm welcome to our third travel grantee, Dr. Boushra Dalile from Belgium! In July and August, she's spending two short-term research stays with Prof. Dr. Ulrike Bingel at @bingellab, @unidue. We wish you a nice and successful stay!
Short stay, lasting impact: Our travel grantee Rahul Avaroth Bhaskaran @RahulAvaroth from @CharlesUniPRG in Prague, Czech Republic, joined the Team of Prof. Dr. Onur Güntürkün for his research stay @ruhrunibochum. Find out what Rahul is taking home with him!💪
The wind is blowing - and so was our travel grantees' mind! Yuya Hataji @YHataji from @KeioGlobal in Tokyo, Japan, spent his research stay in the lab of Prof. Dr. Onur Güntürkün @ruhrunibochum. What was a key experience for him during his stay in Germany in terms of #research? 👇
The brain needs two halves to work - just like your #research!🧠 To gain a complementary perspective on his research, our travel grantee Jonathan Tsay @tsay_jonathan made his way from the US to @NeuroEssen. What was it like to collaborate with other researchers in the Ruhr Area?
How far would you go for expertise? Our travelgrantee Caroline Nettekoven @carobellum took a 12 hour flight across the Atlantic to conduct #research @NeuroEssen. Check out our video to find out what made Caro decide to participate in the ThinkGlobal program! 👇
📽️We had fun in the sun at the video shoot with our travelgrantees Dr. Yuya Hataji @YHataji & Rahul Avaroth Bhaskaran @RahulAvaroth. Very soon, you'll get exciting insights into their #lablife as well as personal recommendations on doing #research at @ruhrunibochum! Stay tuned...
