In an era of relentless self-flagellation, it’s worth remembering:
> We invented the modern world: science, liberal democracy, individual rights, antibiotics, flight, the internet, and putting humans on the Moon.
> We built the framework of open inquiry, rule of law, and limited government that protects individual liberty like no other civilization before it.
> Our art, music, philosophy, and institutions have lifted billions out of poverty and given us unprecedented freedom and prosperity.
Western civilization isn’t perfect, no civilization is, but it’s the best one we’ve ever had. Let’s celebrate it.
