If the socialists had their way, Elon would have had his paypal profits taken and redistributed for the greater good. The world would never have seen Tesla, nor SpaceX. And the world wouldn't know it, because they were uncreated, and thus unseen. Imagine the companies that don't exist, because Washington destroyed them before they were born.

πŸ’₯Newsom. Sanders. Warren. Three politicians. Zero companies built. Combined wealth funded by lobbyists and donor cash. Elon Musk dominated in: Payments. Cars. Energy. Space. Social Media. Communications. AI He didn't just succeed he made America stronger. And that's exactly why they hate him.

A socialist policy cannot be told without a lie. A tax on capital is a tax on future income and profits. Rockets that haven’t even been built yet, let alone flown a profitable mission. If you tax the future earnings you will have no future earnings. How is this not clear. Not only that, it would have to be paid by reducing the amount of shares Elon has, so diluting his management. If worse managers ran SpaceX, the amount of value SpaceX can create in the future is lower. Basically number of EV chargers Buttigieg built with a $5b budget vs Elon. It can’t pay for free college or trade school for everyone without price controls. Because any money going towards school this year end up with raising prices next year.
Brad, a 5% tax on Elon's trillion net worth would literally pay for free college and trade school for every American. And with the market's growth, he still would be worth over a trillion dollars! You don't think that's worth it?
Community note
5% of $1.2T is $60b. 8m students in BA/BS programs on average pay over $20k/yr, or ~$160b/yr for BA/BS degrees only. That tax could not cover even half of only US bachelor degree costs for just 1 year, excluding grad, ass., or trade degrees totaling another ~10m students. nces.ed.gov/programs/coe/i… bestcolleges.com/research/colle…

If you taxed 100% of Elon’s net worth, confiscated every penny, you could fund the current US government for about… 49 days. We don’t have a revenue problem. We have a welfare spending problem.
What a sick man. What a sick world. Tax. The. Rich.

Elon's heroes told him SpaceX would fail. He fought back tears as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin publicly opposed commercial spaceflight. Today, SpaceX is going public in the largest IPO in history. Let that be a lesson to anyone pursuing a dream others cannot yet see: Keep building. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. This needs to be a wake up call.

An African American Immigrant has created trillions in wealth, hundreds of thousands of (tax paying) jobs (PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX, etc.), tens of thousands of millionaires, pays more taxes personally than anyone in American history, pays tens or hundreds of billions in taxes through his businesses, and did so all through voluntary exchange and cooperation in the market, without coercion, while delivering likely many trillions of dollars in excess value to the end consumer of his goods and services. Some politicians hate this. They want to penalize it. They want to use the opposite forces of coercion and government force to ensure that we get less of this. Sometimes it sounds good, but don’t be fooled, they want to stifle this market creativity and productive innovation and replace it with dependence, and more government inefficiency. They’re trying to rig the system β€” in their favor. They can’t help themselves. They hate success. They hate America.

Only in America can an African immigrant become a trillionaire in under 3 decades.

SpaceX IPOs today. One hallmark of the largest IPO in history : Elon Musk's astoundingly low cost of capital. Despite raising 25x more than the typical founder, Musk retained ownership in the top decile. 🧡

As everyone watches the SpaceX IPO today, its worth remembering this advice from Buffett "The idea that a newly issued security (IPO)β€”brought to market at a time of the seller's choosing and surrounded by massive hypeβ€”is the single best bargain among thousands of global businesses is absolute nonsense. When an offering carries a ridiculous 7% commission just to incentivize salespeople, it simply cannot be the most attractive investment available. While people easily get caught up in the excitement of a new launch, look at the reality: you have thousands of existing public companies whose prices are set by a natural auction market, free from aggressive promotion or hidden fees. It makes no sense to buy a security precisely when an insider decides the timing is perfect to sell. Frankly, it isn't worth spending five seconds thinking about IPOs." - Warren Buffett

. @MacrocosmosAI, a Bittensor Subnet marked a major milestone by demonstrating an early pretraining run of a 100B parameter model across 16 pipeline-parallel stages, using globally distributed single GPUs. With this, IOTA becomes the first system capable of training hundred-billion-parameter-scale models across the internet under economically efficient conditions. Orion-100B achieved ~65% of the training speed of comparable datacenter setups, while using distributed hardware at a fraction of the cost. The largest decentralized training run to date. $TAO 🌐
