The pitcher threw a curve ball that looked like it was going to hit the batter but it broke and curved down over the plate for strike three- the ump rang him up. The kid immediately tapped his helmet like the pros do for an instant replay challenge. The umpire thought it was extremely disrespectful. He told the coach that he wasn’t going to tolerate any other kids doing that. He said he’s going to talk to the coaches before the games now because it’s an avenue for kids to argue balls and strikes without voicing they are arguing balls and strikes. Many people said the umpire was soft. Many said it’s a kids game, let them play and stop whining and man up. But some said if you give the kid an inch in showing disrespect then it can open the food gates and that he shouldn’t tolerate it and they agreed with him. Me personally? Im old school. You aren’t going to show me up whether you are the coach or the player. I’d do the same and give a warning to the coach and anyone else doing that afterwards is gone. What do you think?
