This lady, my grandma, is more fabulous than words can describe! She lost her parents as a toddler, passed around sister homes (some worse than others), and grew to raise 4 strong daughters! She is strong, loving, and full of laughter.
It’s normal for teachers to feel some anxiety about the start of school under normal conditions.
So with the challenges we’re facing right now, those stressful feelings are off the charts and for good reason.
Educators need support right now like never before.
So honored to be the recipient of the 2020 Carl Perkins Community Service Award for Missouri FACS Teacher. The students involved and my coworker, Pat Boshe and the grwat resources from #Lead4Change should be recognized as this was truly a team effort!

We started pouring candles for the small business owner today. 1/3 of the profits ho to help a local family that lost everything in a fire. #deuxfilles
