Great to be out on the Massey farm today to hear about the exciting plantain program we have underway with dairy farmers across NZ & our partners: @DairyNZ @MPI_NZ @Fonterra PGGW, @MasseyUni @LincolnUniNZ @plantandfood @AgResearchNEWS @mwlr_nz @Agricom_NZ @LincolnAgritech
DairyNZ and partners were excited to share the latest results from plantain trials with media today. 2 years of trials at @MasseyUni farm showed that pastures containing 30-50% Ecotain plantain sown with ryegrass & clover could reduce N loss by 20-60% without reducing milk prod.
