It was great to be back at the Treasury Department today. The building looks beautiful for the 250th anniversary. The conversation was fascinating (EO, GSE reform, Basel, etc) and, as a huge bonus, the fountains at Lafayette Square (across from the WH) work for the first time… I’ve ever seen and I’ve lived here my whole life. Fencing is a bummer but still really beautiful.
