This is a discussion that biblical counselors need to take seriously. At times, we have been sloppy with the secular label and it hurts our ability to engage with valid research and undercuts our influence in discussion with the larger counseling world.

Reality check:
Biblical counselors already use
categories, structures, and observations
not explicitly taught in Scripture
The real question isn’t if we engage—
It’s how carefully we do it. Do we reinterpret and redeem it?
