This weekend I got my hair done for an event and the woman doing it started singing along with Mariah Carey’s “Emotions”, except only the super high whistle tone parts that can open garage doors. When it ended, she shook her head. “Such talent,” she said. “Shame she’s dead.”

I thought my J! adventure had come to an end, but I inadvertently helped inspire a category in today’s game (though it was truly a team effort, and the true credit goes to 👑 @MargOnJeopardy… ❤️)

Feeling Regular Virginia today, might West Virginia later.

I can now confidently say that I was named after someone who went on national television and sang “I Feel The Earth Move” while dressed as a lemur, and you know what? Life makes a tiny bit more sense now.

Hi! I’ve gotten a bunch of new followers thanks to @jeopardy. Welcome! I’m not on here much, but Jeopardy! Twitter is making me rethink that a bit — y’all are a delight. 💙

My time on @jeopardy was a dream. It’s run by the kindest people in show business — everyone in the building wants you to succeed. The vibe is infectious. Shoutout in particular to Lauri and Laura, the contestant coordinators, who took amazing care of all of us.

Also, I am loving watching people fall in love with @MargOnJeopardy — she and I bonded first thing on our tape day over our love of old movies, and if you think she’s delightful on TV, she’s twice as awesome in person. Go Margaret!!!

Heck, I got this wrong on the show and I want one…

Tune in next week, when you'll hear @timidfrieda say, "Jaye P. Morgan has horny, chaotic, Studio 54 cocaine energy, which is a quality that, frankly, I consider aspirational."

I had a blast talking to the delightful Ryan Roe and Anthony Strand from @ToughPigs about the scariest two minutes in cinema—er, minutes 81 and 82 of THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN! Come for the Muppets, stay for my hyperspecific neuroses!
New Muppets Take Manhattan podcast! We’re talking Minutes 81 & 82: Miss Piggy brings Kermit’s memory back just in time for the show. PLUS: Throwing shade at CATS! Why do pig farmers say “SUUU-EEEY?” Amnesia in sitcoms! Is this a scene from a horror movie? toughpigs.com/movin341/

Hi Twitter! I’ve acquired a handful of new followers in the last few months, which is flattering, especially when you consider I really am a Special Guest Star around these parts.

I left New York because one day I looked around and realized that there wasn’t a single woman in the New York theatre whose career I wanted. Not a one. At any level.

Does that mean I’ve stopped writing musicals? NOPE. It means I’m recalibrating my approach. And I’m taking care of myself in the process. Radical reinvention: I recommend it.
