I am hearing shocking news that @CityWestminster have agreed to hand over #oxfordstreet to the Mayor under red route regulations! What happened to standing up to @MayorofLondon for our residents! How can you say it is needed as a Red route and pedestrianise Once we have full details I will share.

We welcome the ambition to update John Nash’s vision to connect St. James's Park to Regent's Park by improving the streetscape of Regent Street, Haymarket and Piccadilly Circus. We are however concerned that the traffic modelling, particularly for Great Windmill Street may not be showing the full impact of the changes. We need to ensure that all residents and local stakeholders are both fully engaged but also listened to during the upcoming consultation period which we feel needs to be longer as it is too short a time for local residents and businesses to consider the implications of these proposals. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clym…

We have a new Lord Mayor! @CityWestminster members have voted for Cllr Robert Rigby to become the first citizen for 2024-5. Cllr Rigby said: "It is a huge honour and an enormous privilege to accept this role. Westminster is truly an international and multicultural city".

Yet another reason why #docklessbikes need a rethink. The kickstands are not effective in windy conditions, resulting in bikes falling over, becoming a hazard for cars and pedestrians alike. @limebike, I suggest you look into it, as this is an accident waiting to happen.

Had a wonderful time campaigning this morning for @twocitiesnickie with @LGBTCons in St James’s ward. The rain cleared and was super to chat with some residents too! All very positive responses 🇬🇧🗳

Thankfully @wminsterlabour has kept the hardship fund we established for council tenants in the most difficulty, but it’s hard Labour for the vast majority of tenants facing a 7% rent increase - the maximum allowed. Last year Labour opposed any mention of an increase. (4/8)
