There's something about this shopfront on Dumbarton Road near Partick Cross that really appeals to me. I think its a mix of its unusual nature and its old-fashioned charm. That and the slogan Glorious Geggies - so very Glaswegian! #glasgow #shopfront #partick #gloriousgeggies

This is terribly sad news that I know will dismay many friends. I met him & his remarkable wife, Edna, on several occasions, chiefly through the Robert Graves Society––most memorably in Mallora in 2010. An unflaggingly generous man & a poet of immense gifts. RIP #MichaelLongley

(Photos of after and before) I have no more words to say. The is what remained of the Edward Said Public Library in North Gaza. Photos were taken today. This is what I worked in the past seven years to build for my people with the help of friends in Gaza and outside. I waited for 8 weeks for each box of books to arrive in Gaza and place on the shelves. I’m still waiting for pictures of the destruction of the second branch of the library in Gaza City.

I first watched Eraserhead the last night of the 1992 Democratic National Convention, flipping back and forth between the film and Clinton's acceptance speech and Fleetwood Mac. Explains a lot, as they say, about my entire generation. Kinda flabbergasted.
