A published paper with no link to data/code but instead a ghostly promise that went undelivered. I have encountered several of these in the last 2 months. Seems like once the paper is accepted the cork is popped and everyone (journal/authors) forgets due diligence.

Moreover, management is making a difference. Among actively managed sites, mammals are on average slightly more abundant than in 1985. For plants, population declines have been stabilised by management, whereas populations with no known management continue to decline. 8/11
