One of the first signs of heat illness is muscle cramps, so if you start cramping up it's time to act:
— Get someplace cooler, stat ☃️
— Remove excess clothing 👋
— Drink a cool sports drink 🧃
— Avoid caffeine/alcohol 🚫🍸
Seek medical help if your cramps don't go away in an hour, you have heart problems, or you are on a low-sodium diet.
ALT Heat exhaustion: dizziness, fatigue, thirst. Stop all activity and rest. Drink water. Heat stroke: headache, high temp. Call 911 right away.
