Loneliness distorts perception. Belonging matters. But connection has a shadow. When connection replaces conscience, it stops being humanizing. It becomes collectivist. And collectivism does not announce itself as control. It arrives wearing the language of care.

Before authority is exercised, reality is reframed. This is not accidental. Language is the first place power establishes itself because language determines what can be thought, said, and eventually done.

14/15 When language loses its grounding, power no longer needs to justify itself. Rules feel arbitrary. Punishments feel inconsistent. People sense injustice but struggle to articulate it. At that point, control no longer needs belief. It only needs compliance.
