I'm going to say it... Keep in mind I'm the LAST person to overhype Call of Duty. I've been roasting the devs since Verdansk & was extremely vocal about MW2/WZ2.
But... as I continue to review NEXT footage... and I see Sledge/Raven updating MW3 mid-Beta AWAY from MW2 gameplay...
I might *CAUTIOUSLY* say the cliché... "we're back"
Now Sledgehammer can still pull an Infinity Ward 2022 and completely fuck up the game **AFTER** players experienced it at COD NEXT and the Betas (remember we had slide canceling, B-Hopping, jumping without penalties, and more in the MW2 Beta) 🖕
The devs still have polish to throw on multiplayer before its release (stop pre-ordering games!!!) and I'm VERY concerned about things on the Warzone side too (videos coming soon).
But... assuming a few key changes happen, I think Warzone will be in its best spot ever.
It's been a shit couple years. Between the botched Caldera launch and Sentinel Warfare 2, I wasn't sure if I'd all have to leave COD altogether. But as they say:
“The night is darkest just before the dawn"
With what we're already seeing, with the direction we're headed, and with Infinity Ward's leadership out of the picture (sorry to all the incredible talent at IW getting a bad rap from their leadership's bad decisions) I truly think "the dawn" is coming.
Warzone might be on Verdansk vibes again soon.
Don't let us down Sledgehammer, Raven, & Co. 🫡
(P.S. ATVI fix your fucking shadowban system and invest more money/employees/time into Ricochet because those could potentially stain an otherwise impressive launch)
