MLP @MajorLeaguePB Trade quick thoughts: I think the @DallasFlashPB / @ColumbusSliders move makes sense for both sides. Townsend really starred in the absence of Columbus’ star player Parris Todd in week 1, but (like Todd) is a left-side dominant player. You can’t have two left-siders and be successful. Meanwhile, Todd played most of 2025 on the PPA tour with Black, with much success (1 gold, 3 silvers, and 8 bronzes in their careers playing together). They also improve in Mixed; Townsend and Klinger were a bit better than .500, but Black should improve them there. Meanwhile, Dallas gets a player they can build around for 3 years who can go back to owning the left side, and they get some cash to work with.

@QueenPickle13 wins the week, as the entire slate of competitors picked the Fives to win today. Yours truly comes in dead last for the week. Sheesh. I'm going to have to come up with some @matty_pickles circa-2025 nonsense gambits to get back into the race. I'll summarize the season standings tomorrow. Looking forward today's matches!

MLP Pick'em contest Week 4 update: Well, I tried to find tougher matches to pick ... and through two days, one third of our competition is 0-4 for the weekend. Including myself. @QueenPickle13 continues to lead the weekend, and yours truly is in jeopardy of falling to last place in the competition after nearly winning it last year. Four matches today, including two "sweep" picks that may be greatly impacted by player absences. @MajorLeaguePB #pickleball

After one day, only @QueenPickle13 managed to pick both of Thursday's games right in our @MajorLeaguePB Pick'em contest. Seven of the 17 got both day 1 picks wrong, including yours truly and the season leader @azetice . This might be the week we reign him back in! Play starts today, 9am central.

@MajorLeaguePB Media Pick'em Contest Week 2 update! Lots more "green" this week as nearly everyone got the same wins for 5-6 of the picks. From there, @ColumbusSliders fans fell short as @the5spickleball went on a rampage this weekend. Congrats to Johnny5.0, Laura Gainor and Thomas Shields for tying for 1st place this week. Season leader @azetice abstained twice but still leads by one over competition founder @matty_pickles (the ONLY person to pick the 5s to win the weekend). On to Week 3!
