ALT Calling all PGRs, early career researchers, and civil society involved in disability research, activism & practice! Date: 21st June 2024 Location: University of Leeds, Michael Sadler Building This is a PGR-led hybrid interdisciplinary conference for PGRs, early career researchers, and civil society involved in disability research, activism & practice. This event is an opportunity to discuss where scholar activism, civil society activism, and practice overlap and how collaborations between research and practice can lead to real-world outcomes. We welcome applications for short presentations that explore topics such as, but not limited to: - Intersectional activism, - Grassroots activism, - Scholar activism, - Advocacy. We are accepting submissions until Sunday 26th May 2024 and will inform you if your submission has been accepted by June. The project is exploring the stories siblings share with the aim of generating data that disrupts the ways in which learning disability and siblinghood are commonly understood. Your participation would be in the form of an interview where you can tell your story about growing up with your sibling. I ask that you bring along a timeline and photos to discuss. Participants can choose if they want their photos or timeline to be included in the final submission.
