Just hear me out: has anyone ever tried to abuse libwayland as a generalized RPC mechanism? Create protocols (XML), generate bindings with a scanner, and "quack" Wayland but actually do literally anything else. I'm kind of serious it seems like a decent general IPC mechanism. (If someone has thought of this before, I'd be super curious to look at it and hear about how it worked out)

I keep hearing that large companies like Azure, Rancher/SUSE, Gitpod, US government / military contractors and the likes are using K3sup (4.8k stars) in their stacks. So I'm looking for vendors who want to sponsor who will in return get visibility with these kinds of companies.
