The Mariners catch a big break after Wyatt Langford tripped rounding second base on what would've been an easy triple, after his 375-foot liner caromed off the right-center wall then off Julio Rodríguez's leg. And with it, Bryce Miller gets out of the 2nd inning unscathed.

Scott Servais said that it’s an “unplug” type of off-day for Julio Rodríguez, who’s hitting .186 with a .441 OPS. They’d like to steer clear of pinch-hitting him if possible. “I think it's really important, not just from a physical side, but from the mental side.”
