The topAM aim is to develop oxide-particle-dispersoid strengthened (ODS) high-temperature alloys that are tailored for AM. EU Horizon 2020 grant No 958192.
We like to introduce you to the topAM Fall School 2024 from 28th to 30th of October in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Master´s students and PhD candidates can apply for this event.

Savya Sachi gave an extremely well-received presentation at the AM-platform meeting at Rapid.Tech3D on May 15th. topAM has modified metal powders and produced AM parts with 5x improved fatigue life (KME OSNA® 400) and 15x improved creep life (VDM 699XA) for HT environments.

Happy Earth day! 🌍
topAM is improving #energyefficiencies by 3 new high temperature #additivemanufacturing alloys. If process temperatures increase, efficiencies increase and energy use/emissions go down. Innovations like these will protect the earth for the future! #earthday
Jan-Philipp Roth presented about NiCu Alloy 400 during his research visit to IPM this month. STEM/EDX and SEM/FIB lamella lift outs were performed on the topAM novel materials, highlighting the close collaboration of partners FH OS, IEHK and IPM within the consortium.

topAM has been working for 36 months on "Tailoring ODS materials processing routes for AM of high temperature devices for aggressive environments."
On February 22-23, we will meet in Brussels to discuss project progress, targets and the plan for the last year of the project.
We hope you are healthy and enjoying time with friends and family this holiday season. Our winter❄️ topAM Briefing is out! 🎄We know 2024 will bring even more progress in addressing the challenge of ODS #alloys for #additivemanufacturing.

A "course for a more productive, sustainable industrial future with pioneering #AM technologies" was set with four #topAM partners participating in #Formnext2023 in Frankfurt. VDM had a booth in the exhibition, showcasing their #alloy and technology solutions.
Happy Halloween🎃 - a day full of creepy and crawly! Creep in materials is detrimental and reduces plant lifetimes. topAM is reducing material creep through ODS particle modifications of alloys designed for #additivemanufacturing.
Reducing crawlies will be another project... 🕷
The Institute of Physics of Materials was at the largest Czech Republic #additivemanufacturing event at the International Engineering Fair. Miroslav Šmíd presented a contribution entitled “Materials design in additive manufacturing of metals,” including topAM project results.
📣 The next topAM school will be on December 14, 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany. This free winter school will focus on high temperature corrosion and analytical methods - here is the agenda and registration information:

Last week Ivo Šulák presented at FDM2023 in London: High-temperature Fatigue and Creep Performance of AM NiCu-based Alloy and Fatigue lifetime assessment and crack propagation of AM Ni-based VDM 699XA #additivemanufacturing#hightemperaturealloys#mechanicalproperties
topAM colleagues Dr. Galetz, Dr. White, Dr. Pedraza, and Mr. Duval will be participating in the European Federation of Corrosion's "High Temperature #Corrosion and #Oxidation 2023 Workshop," next week in Marktheidenfeld, Germany!
