Baseball used to not have a draft.
Players were free to sign wherever they wanted… coincidentally the New York Yankees won 20 World Series titles in 42 years from 1923 to the 1st year of the draft in 1965.
They have won 7 titles in the 61 years since that inaugural draft…🤔
