Let's keep language learning across all sectors alive and thriving and retain opportunities for our pupils to develop their abilities beyond the school experience across the whole of Scotland #languagesmatter @louiseglen4 @LANGSScot @SALTLANGS @MarkCritchley8 @scottishcilt
In an increasingly globalised world, multilingualism is a power 💪 Linguistic diversity connects the dots and benefits all of society, something to celebrate this Languages Week Scotland. #ScotlandLovesLanguage loom.ly/cub-Nd4

School exchange partnerships might not be your priority right now... but wouldn’t funding towards one be good for next year when things open up? This could be the last chance to apply! ⭐️ #ErasmusPlus

I loathe pervasive term 'unskilled'. Are care-workers 'unskilled'? It is a callously bureaucratic way to describe such dedicated men and women. 'Low paid' yes, sometimes scandalously so, but skilled in so many ways that few of us could begin to emulate.

thanks for the kind tweet; here's the short blog I mentioned in my talk, explaining why language learning & multilingualism doesn't take away precious space in our brain but, on the contrary, improves our cognitive functions across the whole lifespan: healthylinguisticdiet.com/my…
An interesting talk from @thbaketal at the CrossParty Group on Poland at the @ScotParl on the cognitive benefits of multilingualism. Monolingualism hinders the development of your brain, but learning a new language can prevent its ageing!
