What you see in the photos from the Chauvet Cave is a very heavy projection. Not just rather light-weight stretching of uneven surfaces on the wall, but the unwrapping of surfaces from complex deformed 3D objects. Just look at this digital reconstruction! 👇
The Chauvet Cave paintings in France have 430 images depicting 14 animal species.

I knew I had to do it when I watched it!
Zombie Spear vs a Lion pride, but with accurate Lion sounds.
I dunno, man, I think real Lions sound plenty scary as they are. There's something unsettling about their "breath growls", like a primal (heh) fear.
Loved the episode tho!
