"Assumption" At first I though this one is about just showing us the past but I think it is Lodi reliving these moments. All the way from the age 5 till today, these seem like some of more important moments in his life and more importantly moments that are about his older brother Ben more than anything else. We also learn that when he was 13 he meet the "3rd thing" I assume is III of the Nine and later also he meets someone who doesn't only bear his brother's name and surname but also his face and memories that is dying by being fused to a ship... Lots of mystery with this one but also very heart-wrenching read with that last entry. "Thanks for being my constant, Ben. Now it's time for me to make it up to you." "Everything is going to be OK." 2/3 done, almost made me tear up a bit ngl
"Recovered Materials, Old Chicago" What a great read! This grimoire follows the aftermath of Lodi's and Ikora's disappearance and how DEO started funding and developing their research project to get them back. Phenomenal read and boy do I wish to have seen this as a cutscene, especially those last 2 entries. It would have been so cool to go around Old Chicago and slowly uncover what happened there and through this lore book to connect all the pieces... I AM NEVER GOING TO FORGIVE SONY!!! 1/3 grimoire found, can't wait for next one!

Unfortunately this isn't it. I'm not a fan of marathon less an extraction shooter and I don't want to spend money on a game I don't like for "the hope of getting D3" The best way to show Bungie support for destiny and maybe a future of destiny 3 is to be loud, show them what we want and support them through destiny 2. Fuck Sony and fuck pete. #wewantdestiny3
Former Bungie Destiny CM just said the quiet part out loud: SUPPORTING MARATHON IS YHE BEST SHOT AT KEEPING BUNGIE AND FUTURE PROJECTS ALIVE [Destiny 3] RIGHT NOW. “Half the community is going to hate me for saying this, but the only way to keep Bungie alive right now is to support Marathon.” Please read her thread but I’ll summarize below. She immediately cleared up that Marathon was never designed to pull Destiny numbers. Marathon is an extraction shooter in the Tarkov/Arc Raiders genre, a completely different target audience with some natural overlap from the huge Destiny player base. Expecting it to perform like a live-service looter-shooter is missing the point entirely. Liana pushed back on the “just let Bungie die” takes and the “I’m never touching Marathon” crowd. She reminded everyone that there are real developers behind the name, passionate people who didn’t make the big corporate decisions. She talked about the nuance of the acquisition, how Bungie’s value to Sony isn’t only Marathon, and how the studio could potentially shift into more of an expertise/service role across Sony if needed. Very cool to see was that a Destiny player asked her for reassurance to give them her word with a hand on her heart that playing Marathon actually helps, she replied with a photo hand over her heart, shown below. Whether you love Destiny, are still excited for Marathon like me and the rest of the community, or are somewhere in between, her thread is worth reading. It’s real, emotional, and highlights why player support for Bungie’s current projects actually matters for the future of the studio and the people who work there. Marathon is amazing. Season 2 Delivered so well (outside of the servers being ehh) and the community is still so passionate. To the @DestinyTheGame crowd we love you! I love Destiny, I love Marathon, I still play Halo for god sakes. And. I LOVE BUNGIE. SO supporting Marathon might be the best way to keep Bungie (and whatever comes next) alive. What do you think? Will you Destiny players give Marathon a/another shot? @Aztecross ? #Marathon #Bungie #Destiny

If we in a perfect world get Destiny 3, what are destinations you would like it to lunch with? This is something I never heard people talk about but yeah, they need more than two public spaces (dlc destination tower) for players.

Nobody says people MUST play Marathon, just please stop putting the game down and actively hating on it and spreading that hate. Is it so hard to praise Destiny and show your love for the game without trying to drag Bungie's other project down? Now the issue of constantly comparing player count charts gets annoying I know but you don't need them to know that even before EoS was announced Destiny was blowing Marathon's playercount out of the water. Even if they might not be very accurate If Marathon dies Bungie is going down with it if they don't greenlit new game that will be widely loved by the audience (most importantly Destiny fans). So I think we should support Bungie as much as we can on our individual levels. Not going out of our way to do something we don't like but at least not trying to ruin the chance of eventually (big cope) getting Destiny 3 or any other Destiny game. Call me a fencesitter but am one of rare few who understands both sides...

If Marathon fails then so does Bungie. If Marathon succeeds then Bungie lives to pitch Destiny 3 one day. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s the closest we’re getting to it right now. The boycotting by creators only erodes the chances of what they really want. Gun to my head between D3 and Marathon I’m picking the former. We got Marathon though so let’s make the best of it. Also the “just sell the IP” people need to take their medications. In no world would Destiny in anyone else’s hands besides Bungie feel right. Maybe I’d trust BioWare, but that’s a true stretch. All in all actually give Marathon a shot on future free weekends if you haven’t. It’s a great game that deserves respect.

One of a kind experience! I was lucky to discover this game at a very dark period of my life. My daily routine consisted of going to school, coming back home and playing League alone over and over for hours that would constantly get me angry and in a bad mood and repeated that pattern for almost a year. Then I discovered Destiny and even though I went in with zero knowledge and was somehow able to stay invested for few months without knowing how 90% systems in the game work I slowly found new friends and actually became social for the first time in my life, that alone brightened the way I view things around me. Now 7 years later I have to say goodbye to THAT which dare I say help me grow as a person and inevitably saved my life. It is really a bitter sweat situation. All I can do now is play the hell out of this game and hold hope that someone one day (hopefully sooner than later) will hear OUR cries to keep this franchise alive and grant us that wish. Per Audacia Ad Astra. See you starside Guardians!
"Thank you for walking with me all these years."

the push for D3 being co-opted by full blown right wing grifters is hilarious because D2 is so unapologetically gay It’s also sad that tim pool and grummz associates think they can associate with the product
