It’s not a short leash and it wasn’t just one bad pitch. She’s been shaking off the pitch calls and that’s when she’s getting rocked. He’s not getting after her, he’s holding her accountable. As a good coach should.
The strategy has been working for him, but if I were a pitcher I would not want that short leash and then he’s behaving like that when she had one bad pitch?

He told her that he pays a pitching coach a lot of money and if she shakes off a pitch call it better work. It didn’t. He held her accountable. That’s a good coach.
What’s going to wear out the Tech pitchers faster: constantly switching them in and out or berating them when they need support?
