This week we kicked off our 3rd Annual Summer Sneaker Drive. We are working with area basketball camps and have a public donation box in the lobby of the Perinton Recreation Center (@PerintonRec). All donations will benefit people in our local community.

If you see a turtle in the road and want to help and can pull over safely, grab a towel or sweater or car mat to help pick up the turtle by the sides of it shell and walk it across the road in the direction itโs facing. I did it! Whew! ๐ข ๐ท:Sybil Gilmore @SPECNews1ROC

Did you know snapping turtles lay 50-100 eggs? Pregnant turtles are on the move & crossing roads to lay eggs and head back the water. Itโll take around 80 days for the eggs to hatch. ๐ข Perinton animal control says please let the turtles nest where they choose. @SPECNews1ROC
