coding is a clear step up from glm-5.1. we've pushed context out to 1M and put serious work into memory. the longer the horizon and the messier the task, the more the model shows its edge.
Intelligence should be open, accessible, and ready to build with, empowering every developer, everywhere. GLM-5.2 is now available to all GLM Coding Plan users, including Lite, Pro, Max, and Team plans. docs.z.ai/devpack/latest-mod… As our new flagship model, GLM-5.2 delivers powerful coding capabilities, usable 1M-context support, and continued strengths in long-horizon tasks. API and Chatbot services will launch next week. The model will also be officially open-sourced next week under the MIT License. The future of AI is open, and it belongs to the people.

High Density Interconnect/HDI & multi-layer PCB is critical for high speed interconnect & other part of modern AI servers. While China dominates PCB production, it does not control the whole supply chain. I will look into very important CCL/PPE part that is critical to SOTA PCB

I am studying the entire AI related supply chain from very high upstream. It’s impressive how much Japanese firms dominate all the midstream chemicals in high end chip & electronics manufacturing. China trying to use upstream control to displace Japan. If it manages to do that, China successfully moved up value chain in supply chain control from critical mineral mining to refining to alloy production to chemical production. It would not care if it no longer has tungsten or yttrium control if it achieves control of tungsten hexaflouride and yttrium oxide coating and yttrium fluoride DUV coating. Ppl often say FAFO, well let’s see how this works out for Japan.

Tungsten powder export (yearly from 2018 to 2025), destination breakdown & production (2022-2025) out of China. Notice the decline in export despite the increase in production? China is keeping more locally to move up Tungsten supply chain into WF6 & WC. Paying dividend.

Trajectory is one where HW cultivated a high secure supply chain can't be disrupted by outside affairs. Even if it had to take performance hit in certain components, it designed the whole system (w/ many smaller AI chips & 800G optical cables) around that to be competitive.

Nvidia & Google never had to worry about supply chain issues, bc vassal countries would not dare to stop supplying US big tech. But now that China dominates so much of global high tech changes, will they have to change their approach & design around supply chain concerns?
