Belleville Public Library will be closed early today due to freezing rain and icy conditions downtown. We will close at 4:00 p.m. today, December 9th. The Gallery is closed on Mondays as per regular operating hours. We will open again on Tuesday, Dec 10th, at 10:00 a.m.

Did you know that Dr. J.B. Collip was born on this day in Belleville in 1892? The work he did to purify insulin allowed it to be mass produced, saving millions of lives around the world. We will have coffee and cookies this morning for the public in honour of his achievements!
