#sbltwitter @SBLconnect Can I double check that for 2025/26 all the pay awards grants (TPAG), pension grants (TPECG) etc are being rolled into the NFF. We're not currently expecting any additional/separate grants, apart from something towards NI increases? Thanks

#SBMTwitter Is there written guidance for maintained schools regarding purchasing retirement gifts using school budget? Being asked by our governors to buy long service retirement gifts, whilst the thought is nice it feels wrong to use budget for this.

#SBLTwitter Workforce Census - When updating salaries in your MIS how do you deal with the teacher and support staff pay awards? Teachers, do you enter what has been agreed although it has not yet been processed? Support staff what it currently is as not yet confirmed?

#SBLTwitter can anyone point me to guidance around use of school budget for wellbeing activities for staff? I need some guidance on what can/cannot have funds spent on. A few of the suggestions I wouldn't deem acceptable but would be good if there was some guidance to back it up.

#sbltwitter Anyone know if a student injures themselves and cannot write in their A level exam today can they access a scribe for the exam? And do we then just complete a special consideration form?

#sbltwitter are schools required to risk assess staff getting back to their home in the event of snow? I've been asked by a member of staff what the contingency plan is as there is heavy snow where they live, but around the school it is not sticking...

I wouldn't know where to start with over 100 staff living in different areas.

#SBLTwitter Can an employee refuse to take a lunch break? I know they are "entitled" to through law and we would like to insist they do for their own wellbeing but can they refuse to take the break?

#sbltwitter Any SBLs have a letter they could share where they have asked to be regraded in line with other members of the leadership team? Bit fed up of being on leadership team but paid a lot less than any other members. I have found the guidance from ASCL and NAHT useful.

I find myself writing yet another thread on the crisis facing Free School Meals, but can’t help think it’s probably my most important There are currently two major issues combining to create a crisis in schools & the leadership of ALL political parties need to step up & act now

#SBLTwitter How do you deal with a governing body who has had a chair in place for 25 years, vice chair for 11 years and at least 3 other members for 30 years . New members/ideas are needed but they won't listen to that.

#sbltwitter is there an equivalent to TLR payments for support staff on NJC? We have a support staff member who runs DoE as an additional responsibility but having difficulty in working out how we will pay an allowance for this responsibility.

#sbltwitter Can anyone point me in the direction of how paid weeks are calculated from working weeks? For example our TAs working week is 39, paid weeks for less than 5 years is 45.05 and then over 5 years is 46.07 but I'd like to understand what the calculation is.

#sbltwitter We're looking at staff absence insurance and down to just SAS or Education Mutual. Any feedback on either would be great or if you've used both and have a preference that would be great thanks.

#sbltwitter Can schools build in the cost for supply staff into the charges parents pay for day trips, not curriculum required? Secondly, residential visits, which are curriculum required? Thirdly, day trips which are required by the curriculum?

#sbltwitter Can someone clear something up regarding insurance? Personal accident part relates to a payment an employee would get should they have the accident. The employers liability protects us from claims bought against us? Is that correct?

Looking at RPA but personal accident cover reduces from £1m with LA to £100k with RPA and just want to check my understanding.
