An estimated 150,000 children in England & Wales have a parent in prison. This number is only an estimate: the reality is that these children are uncounted and often unsupported. In some cases, children end up living completely alone without an adult in the house, after their parent is sent to prison.
Simple, early support can create real change for children with a parent in prison. The children we support cannot vote in this General Election, but their voices must be heard by any incoming government and MP.
