There needs to be a conversation about the ‘dunk culture’ in smash with perpetrators. Posts bragging about beating xyz banned player on elite/some bracket they smurfed in are way too common and do nothing to help their victims. Negative attention is still attention.
i brought this up to two TOs and the responses were 1. i believe my friend and 2. damn im gonna try extra hard to beat him in bracket tn
like just whatever i hate being perceived in this scene bc there r so many freaks im sorry

I get that this is a problem that is much bigger than the smash community (I think there’s a lot of similarities with people qrting bigots to dunk on their bigotry and by doing so increasing the spread) but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take steps to try and mitigate it.

I might be crazy but it feels mad unprofessional for your sponsor and/or major TO’s to find out you’re missing an event via your twitter. Imagine your boss finding out you can’t come into work from you vagueposting about it.

Is This Thing On #4 is happening tomorrow and is now open for registration. 5$ prize for first place, 64 entrant cap all Bo5. Based on attendee feedback, the start Time has been moved up to 8 est, stage and character selection is now done through tasks instead of via text.
