Damn... The Battlefield 6 "Windex man" outfit has become quite the trending topic these past couple of days and this will be my last post talking about it so I'm hoping I can stick the landing with this one, in a way that moves the conversation forward and offers some valuable feedback to the devs, who I know are seeing these posts and are likely having a hard time navigating all the nonsense 😅 Hear me out: I get both sides, especially now that Battlefield is appealing to a wider audience than ever before. Legacy players want Battlefield to stay gritty and grounded like BF3 and BF4 while others don’t mind a bit of flair in their cosmetics (attached are some examples, including my own grounded take on the "Windex man" skin vs the original unedited outfit) I've seen a mixed response to my posts and a lot of rage bait quote tweets from others but I've tried to meet players in the middle, explaining the facts and the origin of the backlash. - That being the BF6 marketing that poked fun at skins in Call of Duty and the "lets keep it real, keep it grounded" interviews with the creative director before launch. Battlefield fans aren't afraid of color as some have said. It's how that color is used in a believable way that can make or break the grounded modern military aestheic it currently has, much like the older titles (see image 4) It's been a long time since we've had a AAA shooter that has stuck to this approach and we want to keep it that way... don't we? A common response I've heard is "just don't buy the skin." - First of all, this particular cosmetic will be a FREE reward with Season 1 and I'm sure you'll see it everywhere because of that. Secondly, you don't see your own character in first person and you also can't control skins that other players have equipped. An easy fix would be the option to disable add-on skins in the settings, but it's highly unlikely that we will ever see this from ANY live service game in the future. It's a slippery slope and if we don't push back at the first sign of funny business, the franchise is no better than it's competition. Are we seriously forgetting 2042? I absolutely think we can still have fun with skins but also keep the identity and aesthetic that makes Battlefield… Battlefield. Let's keep it classy in the comments. 🫡

Has your aim been feeling off on PC with mouse & keyboard in Battlefield 6? I have found why. Turn Uniform Inf Aiming Off, scroll down to find zoom sensitivity smoothing, turn that off. Go back to Uniform Infantry Aiming, turn it back on & put the coefficient at 0! #Battlefield

Seeing “Meta” builds for Battlefield 6 is Cringe! Why are people so focused on that? There are so many weapons to use that are viable. Let’s not turn BF6 into COD please!
