🚨 Update for the @goblintown Shweepshtakes 🚨 TLDR: The shwepshtakes site will be temporarily down tomorrow for contract migration. Week 5 is being extended by one full week and will now end Dec 22 at 12pm ET. 1. Temporary Site Downtime, Contract Migration Tomorrow, the site for allocating your tikits will go offline for a bit while we migrate to a new contract. You don’t need to do anything. Any tikits you’ve already allocated remain valid. Any tikits currently sitting in wallets will be burned and replaced 1:1 with tikits from the new contract. Why the upgrade? When we first built the Shweepshtakes, the trade-in system didn’t exist. Now that people are swapping NFTs they originally bought for huge amounts of ETH value and receiving tens of thousands of tikits, we’re hitting a technical limitation. Sending that many NFTs one by one is causing nodes to flag us as spam, slowing everything down. The existing contract just wasn’t built for this level of action, so we’re upgrading it to properly support the trade-in mechanics and keep everything running smoothly. You can keep allocating and sending tikits right up until the site goes down for the migration. Once the new contract is deployed: - New tikits will be airdropped - Old tikits in wallets will be burned automatically - Everything continues as normal 2. Week 5 Extended While the migration shouldn’t take long, and since we’re already about 48 hours behind on processing trade-in tikits, we’re giving Week 5 an extra week. New Week 5 end time: Monday, December 22 at 12pm ET. After that we move into Week 6, then Week 7 and Week 8 as planned. More tomorrow!
