REC Limited Commits ₹0.24 Crore under CSR for solar installations across identified locations in Goa. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, REC Limited has committed ₹0.24 crore for the installation of solar panels aimed at generating 60 KW of clean, renewable energy. The project envisions the deployment of solar systems at 11 community-centric locations across North and South Goa, promoting sustainable development and enhancing energy access at the grassroots level. A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on 23rd June 2025 between Mr. Vijay B. Saxena, Joint CEO, Goa CSR Authority, and Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR), REC Foundation. The Goa CSR Authority will serve as the implementing agency for this initiative. As an Independent Director of the @RECLindia , a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, it gives me immense pleasure and I am very proud that the Mobile Medical Units given to Redcross by @RECLindia under it’s CSR activity is doing a great service to the common people, particularly the Rural poor people. This particular MMU is at Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu has so far reached more than 10,000 people in less than six months at their door steps providing healthcare. A total of seven Mobile Medical Units are serving every day at seven districts now and further more units will be in place very shortly in more districts. RECPDCL handed over a project specific SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) of ISTS Transmission Project under TBCB route viz, WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Limited to Adani Energy Solutions Limited on 30th May 2025. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs. 1,807.46 Crore. Adani Energy Solutions Limited emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for development of the transmission project on Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis. The SPV was handed over by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL to Shri Sanjay Arvind Johri, Vice President (BD), Adani Energy Solutions Limited in the presence of Senior Officials of RECPDCL, Adani Energy Solutions Limited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The implementation period of the project is till 01.01.2028. Sunil Gavaskar, legendary Indian cricketer and trustee of the Shri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust (SSSHET), met Sh. Jitendra Srivastava, IAS, CMD, REC Ltd., to discuss REC’s ongoing CSR intervention – “Healing Little Hearts” – at the REC office in Delhi. Through the “Healing Little Hearts” CSR initiative, REC has extended ₹30 crore as CSR assistance to provide free medical support to children born with congenital heart disease. Under this initiative, 2,100 surgeries have already been conducted at SSSHET’s Sanjeevani hospitals in Raipur, Palwal and Panvel. Congenital heart disease is one of the most common causes of infant mortality in India. This intervention is truly a ‘gift of life’ for young #CHDWarriors! Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL to Shri Puneet Singh Chauhan, Vice President& Head (Commercial), IndiGrid 2 Private Limited in the presence of Senior Officials of RECPDCL, IndiGrid 2 Private Limited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The implementation period of the project is 24 months. The scheme covers construction of 150 km of400 KV transmission line between Samba (J&K)& Jalandhar (Punjab), 35 kms of 400 KV line between Kishenpur(J&K) & Samba including other associated works.
