People are dishing on Nintendo Sports Resort 2's thumb wrestling but it unironically has more mechanical depth and ingenuity than any typical flatscreen game from the last 30 years.
This is why I find most games played on a regular xbox-layout controller or mouse and keyboard boring.
The tactility sucks and the nuance of the input has largely been the same for over 20 years.
Motion controls are not perfect, but at least their interesting. This is why I gravitate to vr games these days as a lot of indie devs are doing some real innovation input mechanics in that medium.
