TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling w/ depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
We’re honored and excited to share these words from our friend and artist MORGXN. You can read the blog “Pride Kept Me Alive” at twloha.com/blog/pride-kept-m….
ALT You have to imagine what it felt like going from Tennessee in the 90s to the early 2000s in Chicago. It was like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz—from corn fields to technicolor.
Or so it felt that way. The unexpected rainbow sighting acted like a homing device of safety. Everywhere I saw a rainbow, I felt welcome.
As I’ve gotten older, I feel the exact same safety every time I see a rainbow in a public space or a big box store.

“Opening up isn’t easy. It takes courage to let someone see the parts of you that are hurting. But when you do, something shifts. You realize you don’t have to carry everything alone. Even if someone can’t fix things, being heard can make the weight feel a little lighter.” twloha.com/blog/a-letter-to-…
“You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. You don’t have to be ‘okay’ all the time. Just take it one step at a time. That’s enough.” twloha.com/blog/a-letter-to-…
A few of our favorite reminders and encouragements. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
ALT “Sometimes you can fall, and there are people out there, definitely, who are going to try and make you feel small. But there’s also a community that loves you and embraces you.” — Gus Kenworthy
ALT “No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.” — Marsha P. Johnson
ALT “The world has ended for me many times, and yet tomorrow still comes. Keep going.” —
Amber Glenn
ALT “Never feel prohibited, never feel like you are not enough. You are here for a reason.” — Michaela Jaé Rodriguez
“For a long time, I thought being strong meant hiding how I felt. I believed I had to deal with everything on my own. But the truth is, real strength is being honest. It’s saying, ‘I’m not okay,’ even when it’s hard.” twloha.com/blog/a-letter-to-…

“What I’ve learned is that healing isn’t simple. It doesn’t happen all at once, and it doesn’t follow a perfect path. There are days when you feel okay—hopeful, even. And then there are days when everything feels like too much again. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It just means you’re human.” twloha.com/blog/a-letter-to-…

“It’s strange how loneliness can exist even when you’re surrounded by people. You start to wonder if anyone would understand, or if your thoughts would just sound confusing out loud. So instead, you stay quiet. You tell yourself it will pass. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn’t.” twloha.com/blog/a-letter-to-…
