Using an online survey experiment, we find that conservative respondents who read a renewable energy policy alongside a second independent carbon capture and storage policy lower their support for renewable energy.

This finding is timely given a recent House committee report (covered here in the Washington Post - washingtonpost.com/climate-e…) showing how oil companies are actively pushing carbon capture and storage as a way to delay making changes to their core business.
