I hope everyone who is EV in every tournament I play max late registers and nobody ever questions why this ICM calculation doesn't apply to part of the field.
Should you max late register the @WSOP Main Event? I crunched last year's numbers to find out. Now, this one's a bit trickier because late reg closes halfway through day two, but I only have data at day's end. At the start of day two, 77% of the field remained, so starting stacks only appreciated by $200. Barely a blip. At the start of day three, however, only 35% of the field remained, and a starting stack appreciates by over $1000. So if all you do is show up late on day two, and hold onto your chips, you will freeroll the rake, and then some. We also need to factor in that late reg advantage is paid for by earlier entrants. Those who showed up on day one are paying EV to the day two players. My rough estimate is that a max late reg stack is worth approximately 8% more than entering on day one. Not a bad deal for skipping 15 hours of play!

I know how Elon Musk became a trillionaire, but I don't know how Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Nancy Pelosi became millionaires.

Been brushing up on the discourse and I’ve decided that every single person is richer than me is a greedy bastard and every single person poorer than me is a loser. I and only I have the exact right amount of money.

This would mean more if this guy didn’t consistently brag about circumventing the max entry rules in the circa survivor and cost other people who won 6 figures in real $. No sense of morality. One of the most selfish and egotistical gamblers in the game.
My bad dude! I’m sorry I let playing for millions of dollars get in the way of the fans’ inalienable right to look at my mouth.

Cops go after the victim while the perpetrator walks away unscathed with a new free chain. There’s always a theme when this happens.
Spurs fan snatched a Knicks fans chain after that brutal game 1 loss .. “I’m leaving here with something” Said that Spurs fan as he disappears and Cops swarm the robbery victim

In a similar vein, yesterday I noticed @DraftKings gives different odds to me (who is down on the site and can’t bet more than $2 anyway) and a friend who is able to bet as much as they want.
Yeah @StubHub you load me with a 10% up charge across the board on every seat once I sign into my StubHub account. It’s not cool. Why should anyone use your platform to buy tickets?

Guys like this can’t quit sucking their own dicks. They can’t fathom a regular guy betting who just wants the bet price on the side he likes. They aren’t “exceedingly rare” as most of the people I know who bet are like this. They all get limited quick.
someone needed to say it…

I need someone smarter than me to explain how regging last second is the most EV move unless you’re break even or close to it. Chips are easier to obtain then deeper you are and recs make up a lower % of the field the later you get.
Even knowing I am at an EV disadvantage when I register early, I will still always do it. Being predominantly a cash game player, the early, low-ICM stages of a tournament are my time to shine. From an enjoyment standpoint, I don't play MTTs often, so when I travel to a big event like the WSOP, I want to fully enjoy playing as much as I can. Of course, given the predatory nature of extreme late registration, I am all for a solution to reduce its impact. Thanks to @SavagePoker for pushing this issue so hard!

This goon is golfing barefoot only bc his company did exactly what he’s bitching about.
I’ve said my piece on Kalshi and have nothing further on the topic. We must stop the Kalshi gaslighting of retail bettors. I’m calling on all nations to come together and stop these fake marketing and PR teams from lying to the normal gambler. Now watch me hit this drive.

lolololol this is why society is where it is today. This is actually what privilege is.
For sure but I really don't know how I feel about calling the cops on black children making noise. Given, you know, everything

Speaking of ego, remember when this scumbag sponsored a Barstool poker tournament so he could put himself in as a fanboy then got butthurt when none of them knew who he was? I do.
Replying to @mattkalish
Yet there is one company that is intent to scream from the mountaintops like they have some hot shit in sports today and that is Kalshi. Driven by ego and pressure from raising billions, now push crazy comms while booking 1/500th the risk of DK/FD. Not if, but when on that rug.
