v1.0 is out now! 🙌
It took more than a decade, TypeORM was considered dead by many over the past years...
But since late 2024 a group of dedicated maintainers was working hard and finally shipped what so many developers were waiting for: the first officially stable version!
Bringing @typeormjs into a DaloyJS app the right way: data source as a plugin, repositories injected into handlers, and lifecycle hooks for clean shutdown.

🎉TypeORM v1.0 Beta is here!
After 10 years, 190M downloads, and 3.6M weekly installs, TypeORM is finally approaching v1.0.
The beta is available now: npm install typeorm@beta
We need your help getting it across the finish line. 🧵
How you can help:
Test the beta against your projects and report any issues. Every bug report brings v1.0 closer to a stable release.
Users who provide valuable feedback will be credited in the v1.0 release notes. 🙏
We're founding the @typeormjs Association.
Last November, @michlbrmly and I took over TypeORM. 7 releases, hundreds of fixes later—the project is stable (thanks to all the incredible people involved 🫶)
Now we're building for the long term. 🧵
I am currently in the process of planning the establishment of the official @typeormjs Association - and I am looking for help! 👇
@michlbrmly and I took over the lead of maintenance some while ago, since then a great team of individuals have worked hard on our new releases. TypeORM is currently at more than 12M downloads per month!
Now it is time to put it into a more formal environment with a solid governance structure - because this ORM is at the heart of so many mission-critical applications.
I am looking for people who have already done that (or sth similar) and can share their experience with us, so that we're not making the same mistakes again that others have already made.
