Delighted to report that, after two years of planning, discussions, and surveying, the global quantum needs assessment report is online!
arxiv.org/abs/2601.14297
Thank you to all who helped make this happen 💜💜💜
My first paper where I supervised the students is on the arXiV 🥹 outside of my quantum-ed paper, this is my very first non-first author paper and I am quite proud of it! Go check it out when you can 💜 arxiv.org/abs/2508.14857
Fun fact: this paper started when I tried the problem myself, found an (incorrect) no-go argument, and then was shown to be wrong by the aforementioned students! Which I feel is an honest representation of how science *actually* works 😇
This survey is the culmination of a lot of people’s work, and has the potential to help quantum scientists around the globe! Please help us get the word out :-)

A note on our theme: inspired by queer pride month, we’re exploring what it means to be proud to be part of the quantum ecosystem! This is of course part of my nefarious plan to make quantum science a queer discipline (*evil cackle*), stay tuned for more!
Ever wondered how it is to achieve vBQC using a measurement based client and an ion trap based server? Wonder no more! Check out this preprint, hopefully the first of a series on client-server-interactions as part of my work with @eu_qiaarxiv.org/abs/2403.02656
Our paper in PRA just came out! 🥳 Delighted to de-hype NISQ computation, do some solid quantum optics, and develop some of my own ideas about the nature of the quantum to classical transition 🥰 and got to work with some truly wonderful people too! Enjoy!journals.aps.org/pra/abstrac…
2. I said at the weekly group meeting that I did some work over vacation, and many people booed! As an American freshly in Europe, I have so so much (un)learning to do! 🥲
I am delighted to announce that applications for Diversity in Quantum’s Queer Near Peer (Mycelial) Mentorship Network are finally open! Welcoming applications from diverse quantum scientists and engineers worldwide at all levels!

And thank you to DiviQ for believing in my vision for building a global, resilient, anti-racist anti-fascist anti-misogynistic quantum science community 😭 we are going to triage the leaky pipeline in the quantum field, and queer quantum science in the process 😈😈😈
Hopping on Twitter (for once) to point ya'll to my bio on the DiviQ website! Rarely I've been more proud of a bio, thank you DiviQ crew for having me as my authentic self :') So excited to work with ya'll on this mentorship program!

Absolutely thrilled to be speaking on Quantum Queerness, Failure, and the Science of Mentorship at the first ever Diversity in Quantum Summit this Saturday! 😁
