My conservator client successfully caused title to the abandoned house at 1928 N Newkirk to be returned to the estate of the deceased owner. The Estate is looking for buyers who can renovate the structure. #Act135 #conservatorship #deedfraud

My conservator client worked with the owner of an abandoned house in Manayunk and with HUD to amicably deal with the blight and squatters. New owners will undertake full remediation, and HUD will get substantial payment on its mortgage. #conservatorship #ACT135 #HUD

Municipal run Land Banks can be a great tool for removing blight. Unfortunately, they often contribute to blight. I am glad to see that the Phila. Land Bank heard our concerns and increased its maintenance budget significantly ( $300K) for 2024.

When a Land Bank acquires properties, they should return them to productive use in a timely manner to provide housing not let homes rot. Thankful that we could compel repairs to this South Philly home.

Battling deed fraudsters in Philadelphia is a sport these days. No, dead people can't sign deeds! It was great to work with counsel for the heirs to beat the fraudsters, cure the tangled title, and get the property on the way towards rehabilitation. #Conservatorship #Act135
